Mattia CatarinozziMattia Catarinozzi saxophonist (Soprano, Alto, Tenor) born in 1991, has studied music in the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome, has graduated with honors with M. Alfredo Santoloci. In the both classical and jazz formations, he could play in duo, quartet and orchestra in many festivals and concerts (teatro Cassia,teatro Vespasiano, Teatro Keiros, Teatro Vascello, Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna and academic hall of the Santa Cecilia conservatory, Auditorium parco della musica etc...).

In 2008 he participated to “premio delle arti” competition reaching the second place with special mention from the jury. He perform concert activity as soloist and orchestrale with many big bands, orchestras, band and camera formations, like:
“Metadiapason” in china at the Shanghai Expo; with the big band Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome festival; “Percorsi Jazz” in 2010 and 2011; “Roma Saxophone quartet” and “agorà saxophone quartet” in several concerts;”Super Sax the academy of santa cecilia” with M° S. Di Battista, M° C. Maurer , M°Danilo Rea, M°Stefano Pagni during the "Sax Fest 2011" in Rome where he also played as a soloist with the Maestro Lars Mlekusch; “OGMM Orchestra” conducted by Maestro A.Santoloci in many concerts hosting world-famous soloists as Xavier Girotto, Dino and Franco Piana.

With this orchestra he has recently recorded for Radio Vaticana as a solist and orchestral. He played in quartet with Xavier Girotto during some festivals. Has studied in Real conservatorio de Musica De Madrid with M. Martinez.

He improves in many Master Classes with: Mr. C. Delangle, Mr. L.Mlekusch, Mr. Bensmann, Mr. Martinez Mr. R. Giuliani, Mr. C. Maurer, Mr. S. Di Battista etc.. Now he is attending the second year of the Biennium studying saxophone in the S. Cecilia Conservatory of Rome with M. Alfredo Santoloci

Con motivo del 200 aniversario del nacimiento de Adolfo Sax, el Conservatorio de música Marcos Redondo de Ciudad Real y la Asociación Saxofonistas Españoles organizarán el I Congreso Europeo del Saxofón, en Ciudad Real del 1 al 4 de mayo de 2014.
